Words to Remember

This wallet commemorates the words of Rear Admiral David Farragut during the Battle of Mobile Bay. After losing a monitor to naval mines (referred to at the time as "torpedoes"), Farragut famously decided to run the gauntlet and ordered his ships ahead. The gambit was a success, and the Union force carried the day. 

His words, possibly apocryphal, were shortened by the press to what are now remembered as, "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!"
