"A Vintage Wallet, Reborn"
If you're on Instagram and follow leatherwork or wallets in general, you may have seen my friend Tom's reel where he recreated a vintage 1930's wallet as seen in a French catalogue. The design was too appealing for me not to have a go at it myself.
Following the idea from the catalogue, this is a compact wallet featuring two individual snap closures. The front pocket is the primary spot for storing cards, and the secondary pocket behind it is deep and fully lined for whatever you would like to carry there. My only change to the design to bring it into accordance with more modern needs was to add an external card slot on the rear of the wallet.
The exterior of the wallet is made from some mottled himalayan crocodile, with a hint of the flank color coming into view at the edges. It is hand stitched with brown polyester thread and edge painted in brown to match.
This is a completed and ready to ship item.
