Materials: Green Glazed American Alligator, Ochre Gambetta Goatskin
Minimalist design, compact size, carries cards and cash, easy for front pocket carry
I had an inclination to make something bright and colorful. This wallet pairs a yellow/ochre ‘Gambetta’ goatskin with a beautiful section of Grass Green glazed alligator belly, which I believe certainly meets the expectation.
Once again this is done in the popular organizer mid wallet pattern, with two card slots on the right and two angled organizer slots on the left, with hidden slots behind both.
‘Gambetta’ originates in the Harmatan tannery in the UK and features a soft hand but preserves a natural grain pattern, giving this interior a rich visual appeal. For the exterior I chose a section of belly from this Grass Green hide from American Tanning, which is dense, shiny and luxurious to behold.
The interior of this wallet is fully lined, meaning all surfaces are lined in finished leather, which includes the back side of card slots and inside the hidden card slots. You will never see it, but you will feel it when you slide cards in and out during everyday use. It is hand stitched in a matching yellow polyester thread for superior abrasion resistance, and finished with a matching green edge paint.
It will easily hold anywhere from 4-6 cards depending on how you want to make use of the interior layout, and folds down to just 3″ x 4″ in the pocket. At its thickest with cards inside it measures in roughly at 1/2″ but with time in the pocket and compression that will become narrower as it wears and conforms to you.
