Tailored for EDC needs
This new design was developed with guidance from the EDC community — with particular thanks to the Machined Pens Discord. Its form will feel familiar to admirers of the Topsider series by Opensea Leather, yet it bears a distinct identity.
The wallet’s structure is formed from a single piece of leather, with a gently contoured flap and two interior dividers. Bills fold naturally when closed and lie flat when open. A side opening on the right ensures easy access.
This Wileman is one of a limited series featuring a hand-applied gold foil motif, evoking the Kintsugi tradition — the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metal. Here, the pattern is a visual homage: a gold thread that traces across the leather’s surface, honoring the notion that strength and beauty can emerge through the joining of parts. The result is a singular piece that feels storied from the start.
Built for practical use, refined in form, and stitched entirely by hand, this wallet reflects the same commitment to craftsmanship found in all of my work.
The name of this wallet is an homage to my grandfather, whose stories were a huge influence on me as I grew up. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II aboard the destroyer escort DE-22, USS Wileman.
