Part of the next series of shell cordovan wallets this tall bifold will satisfy those of you who need a lot of carrying capacity but also don’t mind a larger wallet to show off, either. In keeping with my love of monotone theming I did this run of wallets all in olive tones, using olive Dakota from Conceria La Perla Azzurra and oil-dyed olive Japanese Shinki shell cordovan.

This hefty wallet stacks eight cards vertically (four per side), which hang on flaps that allow easy access from the top and sides for storing papers, receipts and business cards. Behind that is a dedicated and deep billfold for your cash. The large capacity comes at the cost of size, but the elegant design embraces it; this wallet will turn heads!

Shinki shell is dense and carries a beautiful shine. Due to the oil dyed finish I chose to burnish all of these wallets with a black dye to produce a consistent color at the edge, which plays nicely with the dark colors of the shell and Dakota. Olive hand stitched polyester thread completes the ensemble.
