I had some leftover Horween Dublin from a bespoke order and enjoyed using it so much that I decided to make a small bifold wallet with it. The rustic appearance and soft temper really stood out to me as being a fine counterpoint to a shell backing, and it so happened that I also had some Horween hatchgrain shell just sitting around. It was meant to be.

As mentioned earlier, the Dublin interior is very soft textured with natural grain patterning throughout that makes this a perfectly imperfect wallet. The Horween hatchgrain shell exterior has a mild brown mottling effect that lends even more visual interest to it. They come together at the edges for a lovely natural burnish.

This ‘Dreadnought’ (nice) wallet pattern leaves the hidden slots behind the cards accessible from the top and interior edges, meaning the cards effectively float on two flaps inside the wallet as seen above. This can be used for just about anything, and will hold folded bills just fine.

In addition to those extra carrying spaces, it still features a dedicated billfold. Due to the small size of the wallet you will still have to fold your bills once to stow them here, but that is a price worth paying to keep the overall footprint so compact, just roughly 3″ x 4″ when folded.

Like all of my wallets, this one is hand stitched with brown polyester thread. Edges are burnished to a natural finish and waxed to showcase the beauty of each leather used.
