Double Sided Card Wallet, 1947 Motif

  • If the color options in the wallet builders are overwhelming, consider this pre-made arrangement! It can still be personalized if so desired, or maybe it will be the inspiration you need to come up with something else that appeals to you.

Personalize your wallet with up to three initials, foil stamped in black or gold foil on the front lower right corner of the wallet. On a bifold wallet, this will be on the interior lower right corner.

Leave this field empty if you do not want any personalization in the wallet.

NOTE: Due to nature of a foil stamp making something unique to one individual, refunds or exchanges are not offered for personalized items.

The multitude of color and thread options can be somewhat bewildering, so I’ve taken the liberty of putting together a few options that I think look particularly good, or have some particular inspiration behind them.

This pattern takes its name from a 1947 Ford pickup truck I painted back in 2018. Gary, the owner, brought the truck to us in various pieces and told us he was making a show truck, so I took it upon myself to paint this one personally a few days before my wedding. His consistency of vision with keeping everything orange and black made for a really elegant but also visually striking show truck, and it keeps winning award after award wherever he brings it.

This is a very simple take on the concept. The wallet is orange on both sides, with black stitching and a black stripe on down the center of the edges.

This wallet is ideal for a person who needs to carry only 4-5 cards and, but also does not want to compromise on style or appearances. I have condensed the capacity down to four individual card slots, two on each side. This variant does not have an internal opening on the top. Strictly limiting the intended capacity of this wallet allows me to keep it small and, most importantly, very thin: only 3″ x 4″ and 1/8″ thick when empty.

This wallet is made with Italian ‘Buttero’ (meaning Cowboy) vegetable tanned leather from Conceria Walpier tannery in Tuscany. Buttero is prized for its rich depth of color, smooth consistent grain finish and patina development over time and use. It is completely hand stitched with waxed polyester thread, meaning that these features combine to make a wallet that looks beautiful and is also long lasting.

Depending on my queue at the time, it takes me on average 3-4 weeks to fulfill an order. This length of time can be longer if I have a lot of orders ahead but I try to keep my customers appraised of how long they can expect to wait to receive their wallet. When completed, I ship via USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
